It really ratchets up the whole messianic interpretation of the Superman mythos, doesn't it? I guess the yanks'll go crazy for that shit. The Garry Leach-esque "Marvelman" stylings of Supes flying into orbit look good, I must admit. Looks like they're playing it dead straight, and might be nowhere near as campy as I originally feared. Still seems horribly miscast though.
