Prog 1610 was one of the best looking 2000ADs of recent times, what with its Cliff Robinson cover, and another fine David Roach Judge Dredd. Something else worth noting was the Future Shock drawn by Tiernan Trevallion. Rendered entirely in pencil, the art had a certain weight and lushness that reminded me somewhat of two other artists, Killian Plunkett and Doug Mahnke. Both criminally under-rated, those guys.
Anyway, I googled Trevallion's name, and found his website, full of older work, influenced by classic art droids like Mick McMahon, Kev O'Neill and (most noticeably) Simon Bisley. He draws great looking women, and the section of his site From The Samovar Of Filth even reminds me a little of the great Glenn Barrat times. Anyway, impressed, I emailed the guy, and he sends along another From The Samovar Of Filth piece, called Space Betty. Enjoy.
