This just in. DC imprint Wildstorm have cancelled Garth Ennis' series THE BOYS with #6, despite #7-10 having been already solicited. The rotters. This seemingly had nothing to do with the series (healthy, steadily rising) sales, and all to do with the books over-the-top content (once billed as "the book to out-PREACHER PREACHER"). This is a shame, though it looks like the creative team are looking to pursue other avenues together, regroup and continue publishing the book elsewhere (both Marvel Max and Avatar spring to mind as likely suspects). Buggeration. I wonder if this has anything to do with issue six's hamster gag? And what did DC actually think the book was going to be like anyway?
